Purpose

This study will review and update CTRAN routes to provide high quality transit service that meets the needs of the community, based on a comprehensive review of land use and travel patterns.

Need

In order for CTRAN to continue to provide Chemung County residents and visitors with high quality transportation services, a comprehensive review of routes and operations is necessary. Over time, changes in land use and travel patterns lead to shifts in population and travel demand, which impact the ability for the existing transit network to meet the needs of existing and potential riders.
